Reverend Sue Baker-Maher
Revd. Sue joined Trinity Unity in September 2025 and is delighted to serve our church here in Ringwood.
She is keen to help people see where God is at work in their lives and to explore how we can all deepened our experience of faith.
Sue enjoys a wide range of ways of worship styles - contemplative, traditional and contemporary.
Before ministry, she worked in the charity sector, supporting people and helping organisations improve and plan their work. She has also served on the boards of several charities and public organisations.
Sue loves learning, holds degrees in Theology, Business and Public Sector Strategy and enjoys exploring other church and faith traditions.
Outside church, she plays badminton, likes dancing, and try to maintain her running.
Sue and her husband Danny regularly walk the different Camino de Santiago routes and spend time visiting family and friends in the UK and Ireland. They have two grown-up children.
Alan Ball, Manager of the Centres.
Alan joined Trinity United Church in 2021, bringing with him over 30 years of experience as a full‑time professional youth worker.
His deep commitment to faith, community, and social justice continues to shape his ministry and relationships within the church.
A lifelong Christian, Alan worships at Buckland Road Baptist Church in Poole, where he remains rooted in a vibrant and supportive faith community and regulalry leads worship.
He also serves as Director of Worship for Spirit Connect, a role that allows him to nurture creative, Spirit‑led worship and support churches across the region in developing their worship life.
Alan is a passionate worship and folk musician.
He sings and plays guitar, blues harmonica, and a range of percussion instruments, often enriching the musical life of Trinity and the wider community.
Alan and his wife, Angela, have been married for over three decades and are proud parents of three grown‑up children. In 2021, Alan became a grandfather for the first time—a milestone that continues to bring him great joy.
He is especially dedicated to strengthening the church’s role in the wider community, with a particular focus on faith‑building initiatives and social action projects such as the local foodbank.
Alan is always keen to explore new ways of connecting Trinity with the people of Ringwood and beyond.
